The Shepherd of Readersburg: (This story is meant for children 5 years and above):

But first, who are Storyann, Euco, and Bighead? Storyann, Euco and Bighead are Readerdsburg Comic characters.

Okay so since it’s budget, budget, budget everywhere, why should you, the kids, not talk about it? Of course! No wonder, our Storyann and Euco have been at it! Euco, our reporter, is trying to interview our author Storyann. Here:

'You know the most attractive thing about money is spending it,' Storyann said to Euco.

'Seriously? But I thought you were the smart one...the one who handles her money with absolute care. Not spending much, only saving,' Euco asked, surprised at Storyann's sudden revelation.

Storyann: 'Nah uh! You may have got it a bit wrong there! Being smart with money doesn't mean only saving and no spending. It means spend it right...on the right things.'

Euco: 'What would you mean by "right things"?'

Storyann: Oh! Well, 'right thing' means anything that will make you a better person and your life better in every way.

Euco: 'Like...?'

Storyann: 'One right thing that’s there to spend on is a book. If you buy one book every month and finish reading it before you buy the next book the following month, you are doing it so right!

'Well, once you are at it, you can even buy one book every fortnight. And then, one book every week. But keep a target that you finish reading the book you bought before you buy the next one.'

Euco: 'Wow! Great! And...?'

Storyann: 'Another thing you can buy is a cool notebook or a smart diary. Or maybe you can buy two or three notebooks or diaries.

'You can use one notebook to write morning pages. Just some thoughts early every morning. In one notebook or diary, you can keep a record of how many pages of a book you finish reading every day.

Euco: 'This is so cool! I already see myself doing all this!'

Storyann: 'You can even write one or two lines about what you feel about the bit of the story on those pages of the book next to the number pages.'

Euco: 'I'm so totally doing this! I can already feel how refreshing this is going to be!'

The story we promised to carry this week, about what Bighead said when Euco had asked him how can a book be right or wrong, will be carried next week. Since it's budget, budget, budget all over the place, we didn't want you to miss the bus!
